Newly refurbished playground
They have just revamped the playground and it's really great now for the kids, lots of equipment and nicely finished.
Perfect place for walking your dog. Lots of different directions to go on the disused railway line at Wetherby. There's 2 major disadvantages, the first is that there's some very thoughtless dog owners and indeed dog walking businesses, who do not pick up after their dogs have been to the toilet. Secondly, right now it's extremely muddy and the paths are full of leaves. 1 combined with 2 means that you have to watch where you're walking or you will walk in something you wish you hadn't! Apart from that it's a great place to let your dog/s run free if they're friendly of course! As there's no traffic. It's part of the National Cycle Network which makes it safe for taking little ones out in their bikes.Go a bit further across the road to The Ings and you have open fields and the River Wharfe to explore. Lots of beautiful wildlife, flora and fauna in these areas.
This is a grassy bank coming of Linton Rd. In wetherby. It is one of the ways onto the Ings (flood planes used as playing fields) it has a ramp and stairs down and a play park at the bottom. This play park has been recently renovated but is only for younger children as it is a bit small for older children to find it interesting.
It could be made a lot more picturesque. It's okay, nice area, but has potential to be great.
