Great price, room very nice for a no frills hotel. Staff very friendly.
Poor room dusty and hairs on quilt and pillows staff not informative expensive for a double room 64 pounds without breakfast wouldn't book again didn't have a good night sleep other guests noisy when coming back and alarm clock going off 6am and kids running up and down and screaming woke up with bags under my eyes after a 10 day break from work
Town of Whitby very nice. I visited our of season so not so busy beach was beautiful town was pretty some shops & attractions were closed as aimed for holiday makers. Locals friendly beautiful sunset on harbour walk & wonderful sunrise at top looking down on town
I am giving a 5/5 because of the amazing receptionist Kay (she is truly incredible). The past three nights she has been attentively behind the desk and she is warm and welcoming and if you have questions (never been to UK and seeking tid bits of info), she has answers. Unfortunately tonight she was not there and it was a different experience, I waited at the front for at least every bit of 5 minutes before I had to CALL the front desk while standing there. The worst part, trying to get someone to answer the phone..... Having someone constantly present speaks volumes.
A really good hotel, very clean and well run. One of my favourite hotels in the area. Lots of reasonable food outlets in the service area adjoining the hotel in the service area and lots more in the lovely market town of Wetherby a short distance away. Nice riverside walks in Wetherby also.
